Creedence Clearwater Revived
European Tour 2024
Creedence Clearwater "Revived" still today, after about thirty years of touring, manage to bring the sounds and atmospheres of Creedence Clearwater Revival around the world. A band (founded by brothers John and Tom Fogerty at the time of Woodstock) that all rock fans know lasted too little and, according to many, the greatest American band in terms of singles, as well as the most representative of the "on the road" culture of the '60s and '70s, which unfortunately broke up at the height of its success, due to the artistic separation of the two brothers.
While John undertook a brilliant solo career in country music (only to then return, recently, to the greatest hits) his brother Tom was always eager to "revive" the sounds with a band that was the heir of the CCR, but in 1990 he died prematurely, due to an incurable disease.
Tom's desire to somehow revive the atmosphere and prestige of Creedence was practically fulfilled, shortly before his death, with the birth of Creedence Clearwater "Revived", under the guidance of the virtuoso guitarist Johnny "Guitar" Williamson (the member of the legendary Titanic of "Sultana", who sometimes had the opportunity to share the stage with CCR and other greats) and so Tom Fogerty's artistic desire found a future.
Williamson played with other greats of the music of the '60s and '70s, such as Spencer Davis, Steve Cropper, Animals.
Even today, after about thirty years of touring, Creedence Clearwater "Revived" are able to bring the sounds and atmospheres of CCR around the world and in recent years they have given numerous concerts in Europe too, thrilling the attentive public everywhere (in Germany, Holland, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Russia, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro and, obviously, in Italy).
The band plays all the "classics": Proud Mary – Bad Moon Rising – Have You Ever Seen the Rain – Green River – Down on the Corner – Lodi – Fortunate Son – Run Through the Jungle – I Put a Spell on You – Susie Q – Who'll Stop the Rain – I Heard It Through the Grapevine – Hey Tonight – Cotton Fields – Long as I Can See the Light – Molina and many others...
The current band includes:
Johnny “Guitar” Williamson (guitar)
Wally Day (drums)
Chris Allen (bass)
Bernard Southern (lead vocals – guitar)
